I will never forget watching the last out and the feeling when the Red Sox won the penant. Later all us kids in the neighborhood played the Impossible Dream record until it was worn out. We would also mimic the last catch of the game in our back yards when Petrocelli caught the pop fly over and over and over. And we'd yell, "Petrocelli's back....he's got it. The Red Sox win........and its pandomonium on the field!!!"

I was born nine years after the Impossible Dream season, but this song was a part of my childhood too. I don't know what happened to the record, but we were singing the Yaz song while parading through the streets of Cooperstown on Induction Day, 1989.

I loved hearing it in its entirety again.

Yes the Impossible Dream song on the record is my most favorite version of it, I would like to get it too. I would also like to see the TV show version of this Impossible Dream record. I think it originally aired on WHDH-TV but I never saw it because I don't live in the Boston market.
